Fascinating! FYI- I became deeply interested in the much maligned "germ theory" of cancer 30 years ago and wrote a few chapters on one of the now "discredited" pioneers of that theory, Virginia Livingston. Much about pleomorphism and microbiome needing to be explored. See Ron Falcone and "Complete Guide to Alternative Cancer Therapy" Carol Pub 1994 re Livingston

I enjoyed reading Kell's paper. I think I understand it well enough to comment.

I dont think his model can account for bartonella.

regarding point 3

"...by microbes that become and remain dormant, largely because they lack the free iron necessary to replicate..."

This probably doesnt apply to bartonella because bartonella almost exclusively acquires iron from heme-iron. Bartonella lacks the classic membrane proteins that transport free-iron into it's cell.
